Vintage “Shima" Blanket

A double-layered blanket made from "shima" (stripe) cotton fabric dating to the Taishō era, early twentieth century. A long panel of beautifully faded "boro" patchwork gives the piece a distinctive character. Perfect as a light blanket on the bed, a throw on the sofa, or a companion for picnics and outdoor outings.
