Sarashi / Tenugui Cotton Fabric
Couldn't load pickup availability
Sarashi is a narrow, lightweight white cotton fabric traditionally used in Japan. Typically woven in 35 cm–wide rolls and cut into 90 cm lengths—known as tenugui—it has long been an essential material in everyday life, serving as kitchen or bath towels, handkerchiefs, bandanas, and wrapping cloths.
Softly woven yet durable, this breathable cotton is especially well suited for indigo dyeing projects, allowing dye to penetrate evenly and beautifully.
Ready to dye—no prewashing required.
