Date

Date:
Thursday July 9, 2pm & 6:30pm

Location:

New York, NY 10001

We're excited to host our summer indigo dyeing workshop with artist, natural dyer, and author Rosa Chang. Rosa will guide you through various techniques of Japanese shibori (tie-dye) and show you how to dye with Yamato Indigo, natural-blend dye from Japan.

Bring up to 3 small cotton, silk, or linen garments you'd like to dip in blue — t-shirts, tank tops, and pillowcases are perfect examples (large items cannot be dyed in class). Brand-new items should be pre-washed, and all items must be dry. We'll also have pre-washed white items available for purchase at the workshop.

No previous experience is needed. This is a wonderful opportunity to try indigo dyeing for the first time, or to pick up new techniques and tips. With an intimate class of up to 8 people, you'll have fun and take your refurbished pieces home with you.

The workshop runs approximately 2 hours.

Please read the following carefully before purchasing your ticket — these conditions are absolutely non-negotiable.

COTTON, LINEN, SILK ONLY
Synthetic and wool materials cannot be dyed.

NO LARGE ITEMS
Our vat and washing setup is limited. We cannot accept large or heavy items, including dresses, pants, jackets, bed sheets, or anything made of canvas.

Please arrive on time and wear something you won't mind getting stained.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Seats are limited. Full refunds are available until midnight on July 2nd; no refunds afterward.

One ticket cannot be shared. Everyone attending must have their own ticket. We recommend children be at least 5 years old, and any child must be accompanied by an adult who also holds a ticket.
