Charming hand-formed square dishes from the Mashiko kilns, dating to the Mingei (folk craft) movement era. Each dish is shaped from coarse, sandy stoneware with softly rounded corners and a pleasingly irregular form — no two exactly alike.
These dishes embody the Mingei ideals of honest material, functional beauty, and the hand of the maker. Perfect as small serving dishes for appetizers, pickles, sweets, jewelry trays or incense plates.
Condition: Good vintage condition with minor signs of age and use. Dish A & B have a small chip on the side.
