Shibori Noragi

$850.00

A "noragi" — an everyday work kimono or jacket from around 1900. This piece from the Akita region features the local craft of "shibori" — hand-stitched tie-dye patterns of ginkgo leaves, nuts, and pine needles whimsically decorating the exterior. The interior is lined with beautifully faded indigo fabrics. In great overall condition — a very rare and collectible piece.
