Large Sashiko Screen
Couldn't load pickup availability
A large textile panel worked entirely in sashiko stitching, scaled to function as a screen or room divider. The hand-stitched geometric patterns create a field of texture that reads differently from a distance than it does up close—graphic from across the room, deeply tactile within arm’s reach.
Sashiko originated as a mending technique, born from the need to make textiles last. In a piece of this scale, that ethos of care and persistence becomes its own kind of statement. The stitching is dense, rhythmic, and entirely hand-executed.
A substantial textile with presence. On sale: $750 (originally $980).
